CURRENTLY RELEVANT PROJECTS

Currently, GENERA Technologies is working on the Madrid Flight on Chip (MFoC) project, developing the Telemetry architecture of a future generation of satellites that are lighter, cheaper and ready for in-flight upgrades. MFOC is a research and innovation project funded by the Community of Madrid and the European Union. The objective of the MFoC project is to develop novel techniques for the development of next-generation aerospace satellite systems. The project explores hardware and software techniques for the development of radically different aerospace systems, as it will allow much more profitable satellite missions with the shortest possible development time with next-generation System-on-Chip designs, while maintaining high levels of reliability.

The project will explore the use of modern hardware architectures, including MPSoC commercial multi-core and FPGA-based reconfigurable HW to solve common problems in the aerospace application domain. These problems include energy consumption and resistance to cosmic radiation.

The MFoC consortium includes SENER Aeroespacial as the main aerospace industrial partner and IMDEA-Software and Carlos III University as research partners, with GENERA Technologies, CENTUM, REUSE and MARM as the rest of the industrial partners.

MFoC is a project co-financed by the Community of Madrid and the European Union.
